The Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA), headquartered in Silver Spring, Maryland, has named Fire Rover as its newest corporate partner, launching a collaboration to address fire safety in the waste and resource management industry.
Fire Rover, a fire safety and suppression company based in West Bloomfield, Michigan, will work with SWANA’s Safety Committee and Battery Workgroup to share insights and updates from its fire incident data. The partnership focuses on data sharing, education and joint programming to mitigate fire hazards and improve safety standards across the sector.
SWANA says it will contribute to Fire Rover’s upcoming children’s book, “Supercharged,” which aims to teach readers about battery safety and fire prevention. The organizations will collaborate on other educational initiatives, including a battery education and data collection webpage and articles to raise awareness for fire safety management.
“We’re excited to deepen our relationship with SWANA and contribute to meaningful solutions,” says Ryan Fogelman, vice president of fire protection services at Fire Rover. “Our data shows the urgency of this issue, and together we can drive safer practices and smarter policies.”
