When it comes to recovering and recycling concrete, brick and block in Central Virginia, USA Materials is a standout. Their main facility in Chester, VA not only receives and processes concrete, brick and block into aggregates, they sell these back into the community as roadbase, backfill and driveways. Everything is recycled all the way down to the rebar. The rebar is then recycled back into the meal market. Their main facility also receives, purchases and processes mixed metals through their subsidiary USA Iron & Metals located on the same site. 

I was given a tour by Dean Myers, Sales and Business Development Manager, of their new facility in Midlothian, VA. This 10 acre facility operates under the name of USA Iron & Metals, as that is the primary material they are receiving. However, they also have an adjacent yard that receives and processes concrete, brick and block into aggregates. It is very exciting to see them grow and provide additional recycling locations for the Richmond Community. Their affiliated hauling service is USA Dumpsters.
