I recently had the pleasure of visiting Lighting Resources at their Wisconsin location and spending time with Jori Pascarella, Business Development Manager, to learn more about one of our newest CDRA members. Lighting Resources was recently acquired by Recycle Technologies, and in January 2027 the company plans to officially rebrand under the Recycle Technologies name, making this an exciting time to welcome them into the association.
Lighting Resources has been a fixture in the universal waste recycling industry for years and is widely recognized as one of the nation’s largest fluorescent lamp recyclers. The Wisconsin facility is one of 12 locations across the United States, supported by a fully permitted truck fleet that allows the team to serve everyone from single-site businesses to large nationwide accounts. Beyond lamps and bulbs, they recycle electronic scrap, batteries, ballasts, thermostats, tritium exit signs, smoke detectors, and solar panels.
Recycle Technologies brings its own strong history to the partnership. Headquartered in Minneapolis, the company has been providing responsible recycling services across the Midwest since 1993. As a certified Minority Owned Business, Recycle Technologies specializes in lamp, ballast, electronics, battery, mercury, and PCB recycling, and its zero-landfill commitment and focus on protecting customer data have earned it a well-deserved reputation in the region.
Bringing the two organizations together creates one of the most complete universal waste recycling networks in North America. Lighting Resources contributes a national footprint and deep processing capability, while Recycle Technologies adds operational discipline and a strong customer-service culture. Walking the Wisconsin facility with Jori, I could see how much care goes into both the work itself and the people doing it.
What stood out most during my visit was how thoughtfully the team is approaching this transition. Jori spoke about the rebrand not as a change in who they are, but as a way to unite two teams that share the same values and commitment to doing things the right way. The goal is not simply to grow, but to grow well, keeping what has made both companies successful while expanding what they can offer their customers.
Thank you to Jori and the entire Lighting Resources team in Wisconsin for your hospitality and for the work you continue to do in universal waste and electronics recycling. We are glad to welcome you to the CDRA community, and I look forward to celebrating the Recycle Technologies name alongside you in 2027.
