Member Spotlight: Ecoverse – Avon, Ohio

Nick Cobos gave me a tour of Ecoverse’s headquarters in Avon, Ohio, and it was a great look at a company that has built something meaningful in this industry. With a guiding philosophy of “expertise that begins with the Earth in mind,” Ecoverse has been bringing environmental and aggregate processing equipment to the North American market since 2001.

The company was originally founded as DoppstadtUS, introducing the Doppstadt brand of slow-speed shredders, high-speed grinders, and trommel screens to customers across the U.S. and Canada. As demand for organics recycling grew, DoppstadtUS rebranded as Ecoverse to support a broader lineup. Over the next two decades, the company added star screens, density separators, conveyors, and trommels. In 2024, Ecoverse launched a new Aggregate Processing Division and brought the Roco line of crushers and screeners to North America, an addition that puts them directly into the recycling, demolition, and aggregate work many of our members are doing every day.

In 2022, Ecoverse was acquired by Alta Equipment Group, one of the largest integrated equipment dealership platforms in the U.S. That relationship has positioned Ecoverse to keep investing in new technologies and broaden the reach of their support network, while staying focused on what they have always done well solving real processing challenges for their customers.

What stood out most during the visit, though, was the team. It is easy to see the pride and care their people take in the work they are doing, and after spending time talking with them, it is just as apparent how much they care about serving their customers. That kind of culture does not happen by accident, and it is a real reflection of who Ecoverse is.

Ecoverse is a great example of the kind of member that strengthens the CDRA community. Thank you to Nick and the team for the visit and for the work you continue to do in this industry.
