I recently had the pleasure of visiting the DRKhorse team at their facility in Luxemburg, Wisconsin, and it was a great look at why they are quickly becoming one of the most interesting names in heavy-duty attachment supply for the C&D and demolition industries.
DRKhorse Tools is one of five brands under the Tenamec Inc. family of companies, which also includes Builtrite, SAS Forks, SAS Rail, and Lemco. Formed in early 2024 as a division of the SAS Group, DRKhorse was created around a clear mission: identify the best heavy-duty attachment manufacturers around the world, including in Europe, South Korea, Japan, Australia, and North America, and make their products available to North American customers under one brand. Sales, service, training, and parts support all run out of the expanded Luxemburg factory.
The DRKhorse product lineup lands squarely in the C&D and demolition space. Mobile shears, concrete demolition crackers and pulverizers, demolition grapples, hydraulic hammers, and hydraulically powered magnets are all attachments used every day on demolition, scrap processing, construction, and material handling operations. That focus on the working end of the job makes DRKhorse an especially relevant partner for our members.
What makes DRKhorse distinctive is that every partner manufacturer they work with has to meet strict criteria: family-owned, in business a minimum of ten years, with a documented history of quality, innovation, and integrity. That standard shows up in the equipment itself. Many of the products in the DRKhorse lineup carry patented designs, reflecting the engineering depth of the manufacturers behind them. It is that combination of vetted partners and patented innovation that makes DRKhorse a name customers can trust.
Rachel Hillery serves as the primary CDRA contact at DRKhorse, and the broader team, including leadership from the parent Tenamec organization, has been engaged and enthusiastic about the CDRA community since day one. That kind of active involvement from a manufacturer partner makes a real difference to our members.
What stood out to me on the visit, though, was the people. DRKhorse is a great company by every measure you can put to it, but what you feel when you walk through the door is how much they genuinely take care of their team. There is pride in the work, a respect between the people doing it, and a real sense that everyone from the shop floor to the leadership team is invested in each other’s success. That kind of culture is not something you can manufacture. You either have it or you do not, and DRKhorse has it in spades.
