On a daily basis our industry is innovating and advancing. These advancements come in every shape and size and from every sector of our association. As we crafted our 2026 strategic plan, providing additional educational and learning opportunities was at the forefront. Our committees will continue to be the hub of learning and advancement however, we will also supplement with a new “Innovations and Advancements Spotlight”. This will allow all members an additional platform to share everything from engineering and technical advancements, to process improvements, safety innovations, training improvements, better hiring techniques, community engagement opportunities, marketing advancements, policy advancements, you name it. We don’t want to limit this. We want to create an opportunity to share and learn about new ideas and information across the board and in all sectors.

Our goal is to launch our first spotlight in March of 2026 and have them quarterly. We are building our program agenda and invite anyone who has an innovation or advancement to reach out and sign up. The format will be a 5 minute introduction to start the meeting, with 3 presenters each having a 15 minute session with approximately 10 minutes to present and 5 minutes for questions and answers. There will be an additional 10 minutes for additional questions or discussion at the end. We will build the sessions around related subjects, as well as work with our committee chairs to allow them the opportunity to extend invitations to applicants to present at their committee meetings.
